I have been experimenting

..........and I think I may have created a new technique for creating faux Dichoric glass :D

I have to say its incredibly hard to photgraph and get a good shot of the gorgeous lustre that shines through!!!
Check back later in the week and I will tell you exactly how I did this and you can all shout at me that you have heard it all before LOL :D
I have seen it made with polymer clay and fusible film, but not my method so far ;-)

Memories of Annalee

001

This is a dual purpose project today :D

Its this weeks Bubbly Scrumptious project plus I used lots of layering to comply with the Simon says stamp and show challenge this week - two birds with one stone LOL :D

Some of you may not know this but.......... I have a Prima Obsession!!!!

So how over the moon was I when Caroline sent me some of the gorgeous new Annalee range :D

Combine that with a page from a Maya Road Chipboard skinny house and this is what you get :D

First I covered a Bubbalicious chip key with the pink paper from the 6x6 paper pad.

I then covered the house in the blue paper with the floral corners and cut out the other floral corner to layer over the top to add dimension.

Before I did this, I stamped the fairy flora girl in black archival ink by sweeping it over the stamp rather than dabbing to give softer image. I then used a light blue promarker to highlight the shadows on the stamped image.

I then added the floral corner on 3D foam pads.

I cut out a roof from chipboard to match the one on the house then covered it with one of the borders from the paper pad. I raised this even further by sticking it down with 3D foam pads.

I covered a chipboard heart and tag and stamped them with prima stamps

Next I added some Prima craftables flowers and added centres with Viva decor paper pen in cobalt blue and added few of the crystals from the Prima mini stamp packs.

I decided my key looked a bit plain so stamped it with the swiping of ink randomly with the stamps I had already used

Lastly I punched holes in the roof and the key and threaded through ribbon to suspend it, the added a piece of lace to the key to form a hanging loop.

I adore the prima mini stamps and find them really useful in my altered dominoes and they are just such flipping good value!!!

Here's a few more pics for you to see before you dash off and buy those fabby stamps and papers :D

So I say.........

........... thankyou for the Inspiration........ Tim Holtz, whos creativeness has inpired me beyond belief :D This is a necklace I have made from grungeboard shapes for this weeks Simon says stamp and show challenge :D

I painted the grunge with a gold metallic acrylic paint to begin with, then stamped the wings with a Basic Grey stamp in black arcgival ink
I tinted the images with promarkers then coated the whole thing with Claudine Hellmuths matte medium.
When dry I gave them a light brush with pearl coloured perfect pearls.
I inked the heart with salmon pink and ginger alcohol ink, then stamped a prima stamp in a brown promarker then with black archival ink, then coated in Ranger sepia accents.I added some prima lace to the heart then punched holes to add the charms and other embellies - mostly from cheap jewellery.
I coated a grungeboard keyhole in a thick coat of bronze croco paint and blasted with my heat gun, then highlighted the texture with Viva decor inka gold, added some brads and used the glossy accents to glue on to the heart.

The crown is a Melissa Frances applique which I highlighted with the inka gold then dropped on some ginger alcohol ink and left to dry.
I then attached it to the heart with glossy accents.I punched a hole on both wings and set eyelets, then threaded through some vintage lace.
And Voila, one very Tim-esque choker/necklace :D
Heres a few close ups :D

I've been busy....

... making domino pendant samples for the Pink Booby 5 crop I am teaching at :D

I have been playing with different colouring techniques so that the croppers aren't scared of my grungey style LOL :D

I use a fibrey paper as my base which can give interesting effects :D

This is promarkers layered over each other - I blasted with my heatgun to dry in between each :D
Then used a swirl stamp which I highlighted with Sakura starlight pens and gems

this is the same as above with ultra fine glitter sprinkled over the first layer of glossy accents

I coloured this stamp with crayons and blasted with my heatgun. The wax sinks in to the paper :D

wax crayons - as above

This one was using my distress inkpads with the colour picked up on a brush.

And this one was also my distress inkpads but sponged and stamped on.

I'm so excited to be meeting everybody and teaching my class :D

Another i-pod cover :D

Helloooooo :D
I got this gorgeous Scrolls work stamp from Moira at Happy Daze :D She truly is a little doll isn't she :D
I decided to use her on another i-touch cover as I bought five lovely blank white ones from ebay :DI covered it in white gesso first and when dry I inked it with Victorian Velvet, Broken China and Pumice Stone distress ink pads
I stamped the image with Archival black ink then coloured with a water pen and the distress ink.

I chose some patterened papers and used Claudines transfer technique on some small scraps of sticky backed canvas then glued these dow.
I did a little bit of stamping and added some vinatge lace.I then coated it with clear versamark ink and covered it clear UTEE which I then melted with my heatgun.
While hot I sprinkled in more UTEE and heated again until I had a nice thick smooth coat.
I added some distress stickles and discovered that when you heat them on top of the UTEE they seem to melt in to it like inclusions in amber :D

Hope you like her :D

Whats your tipple??

I picked up these cute china decanter labels from a chairty shop that have a litle floral deisgn around the edge and the spirits name in the middle.
I did think of leaving gin on one then I could just hold it up at the bar when I wear it :D but then thought that might look quite bad LOL :D
I coated them with clear gesso all over so that the flowers were still visible, then covered over the wording with white gesso.
When dry I inked them with my distress ink pads and stamped images in black archival ink.

I smothered them with versamark and gave them a coat of utee which I heated with my heat gun. While hot I sprinkled in more utee then sprinkled in Tim Holtz distress powders and cosmic shimmer embossing powder.
On the "Exist" one I stamped a butterfly stamp in to the hot utee to leave a de-bossed image, then highlighted it with a light dusting of perfect pearls.

I coated my metal embellies in versamark ink then dipped them in to my TH distress powders and heated.
Last but not least I added some bling and buttons to finish the pendants :D

I hope you like my altered items as much as I do, now do I sell or keep??? LOL :D

a load of old Croco....

Viva Decor style LOL :D

I bought a jar of this paint last week and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the jar :D
I decided to have a bit of a play this afternoon to see what it does :D

I put a generous coat on to a chipboard square and blasted it with my heatgun resulting in huge croco-type scales with lovely cracks in the gaps.
This is bronze paint with pearl and plum alcohol ink on top and copper foil around the edges
Pretty cool huh :D
Imagine the platinum one with alcohol inks on it ...... Oooooooo :D

Thats defo my next purchase LOL :D

I then added Prima lace, flowers from earrings, buttons, a drogonfly charm enbellished with distress stickles, rock candy sticklesand beads :D
