Christmas Countdown spinner

Hi everyone :D

This was originally intended to be a piece for Vanilla Sugar but I didn't get it finished before I jetted off to the Dominican :D -Sorrryyyyyy Caroline!!!

So I have used it for my piece this week on Bubbly Scrumptious :D

So how did I create my countdown spinner???

I used Websters Pages Sweet Season throughout :D

Well, my buzz and bloom chippie didn't have the words on it, but other than that it was identical.

I started by covering the back of the back plate with the sweet sprinkles paper.

I covered the front side with the inka gold by watering a little bit down in the lid and painting it onand buffed when dry with a tissue. It did take two coats but it does cover the chipboard better.

I used the spare insert shape to cut out thegreen paper then glued down with glossy accents.

I printed the numbers on to the Safmat, cut out and stuck around the green sections. I actually used an advent kit from two peas but had to cut them down to fit them in so I could have used normal fonts on a word document.

Safmat is fabby as you can create your own rub on like stickers using your printer - fabby for hybrid scrapping :D

I covered the front section of my spinner in the Sugar plum tree paper, then used the second piece to create a 3d effect by cutting out the trees and layering up with 3d foam.

I did the same with the die cut sheet.

Next I added the Prima flowers and embellies and highlighted the decorations on the tree with the glitter pen.

I was a bit puzzled how to put it together at first but asked advice while I was at the PInk Booby crop and was given the perfect solution.

I used a spare post from a scrap book :D to cover the screw head I popped on another Prima crystal centre :D

Curious again?

Moira has kindly sent me pics of the mirror I altered for her as part of this swap :D

This is the back of the mirror - I printed a picture I found on the net on to a piece of canvas paper and coloured it with water colour pencils.
Inked the edges and stuck it down with glossy accents.
The mirror was painted with TH cracklepaint in scatterd straw then distressed with inks, metallic rub ons, distress stickles andanything else I could throw at it LOL
added lots of embellies like scraps of lace and metal embellies from my stash




For the front of the mirror I printed the Alice stepping through the looking glass in mirror image so that it was the correct way round on to acetate.
I tinted it with alcohol inks and found that because it was on a mirror Alice wasn't very clear.
I decided to print the image again on the canvas photo paper then cut her out and glued her on with more glossy accents.
I used loads of GA on all the lace pieces so that it was hard and added more embellies including clock hands, and a red crystal heart.

I used metal punches on the handle of the mirror then rubbed ink in to them to highlight the words "CURIOUS" and "WONDER"
added some more lace, a tassle from a handbag charm and two chess piece charms that I had coated in distress embossing powder :D

I'm pleased to say Moira loves it :D

I forgot to show you!!!

Ages ago I took part in an ATC swap on UKS called Winged vintage beauty which I promised to share with you when they had arrived at their destination - I forgot LOL
So here they are now..












Firstly I downloaded the vintage lady image from the internet and printed it twice, once on card and again on to printable acetate.
I used a Paper Artsy stamp for the butterfly wings on to a piece of card.
I cut around the lady on the cardstock image and placed her on the back of the printed acetate picture so that she was more vivid and the stamped image on the background didn't show through. I then attached this to the stamped cardstock with tape where I was going to add the embelishments.I attached this to the back of a playing card which is the lattice background.
I printed a Prima fancies silhouette on safmat and layered this on to the ATC.
I added some lace, mini cameos bought from ebay and Primas with crystal centres coloured with Sharpie markers and then gave a light mist with Cosmic Shimmer in copper.
I created my card details on www.scrapblog.com , downloaded as a jpeg, and then just printed them on a word document.

I received a lovely message from one of the recipients who loved my ATC and was asking me to join the ATC trail on UKS.
I really enjoyed creating them and I'm quite tempted now to join the trail on , when I have a bit more time that is LOL

Here's my Tesco house :D
I love it :D I used BG Eskimo kisses papers and House of 3 digi elements - Christmas countdown and Vintage Christmas brushes .
Fancy Pants bobble trim some cute little mirror reindeers stamped with Stazon and BG stamps :D

Printers tray

I have been working on this today - trouble is I spent ages trying to get my edges right then realised that wasn't what I wanted it to look like :(










It looked really harsh and not me at all :o
so I bought these images(166 for women only) yesterday from itkuppilishop and printed the central images on safmat - cute eh :D

It took a bit of doing but I'm loving it again LOL :D#

Now I just need to decide what miniatures I want to add to it - I can see me doing morer than one of these because I'm loving it now :D

Ready to scrap

I thought I would alter my pics on www.scrapblog.com and have them printed ready to scrap.
Thought this was a fab way of embellishing them without messing with stamps, overlays etc.. and all the elements I used were free - now we all like freebies LOL.
So, above is a typical pic of me and Paul, haven't got many without him sticking his tonue out!!

I have also printed my digi LO's - thought they would be nice to put in a little album to carry round with me, and if they look nice I might get some printed larger :D
