Happy Campers???

or just tired campers??? LOL
It is really tiring camping - not sure if its the effort of putting everything up/down and in/out of the car, the fresh air, the early mornings, or the nudges I get in the night to stop me snoring LOL :D

Had a really nice weekend though, apart from a bit of a disasterous trip in to Whitehaven on Saturday to their festival day - the dog hated the whole thing, most of all the train!!! The train there was late then got stuck for 4o mins because there was a problem with the door, then 30 mins late coming back!! We were frozen solid when we got back to the site!!!
Never mind, hot choc and cookies warmed me through :D

Hardly took any pics this time either :o just some shots of the fly over at the festival, and a bird at the campsite LOL - haven't put them on the PC yet so no idea if they are any good yet.

Rare???

I went out this morning and it was coverfed again - you seriously have to get one of the plants if you want pretty visitors :D
I was meant to be at work until at least midnight tonight as we have been stock taking - was home for 9.30 :D

My latest creation, its a kinda abstract tree like thingey created from WRMK Nonsense papers :D

A bit different to anything I have worked on lately but it felt quite fresh :D

A rare sight....

Ok, ok I know they aren't rare butterflies, but they darn tootley too are in my little yard LOL
I bought this plant which is known as a butterfly plant about 5/6 years ago and it has grown verrrryyyy tall!!! But it has never had this many flowers on it!
I went out to the bin this afternoon and it had loads of butterflies, just sitting there, chillin :D
So of course I had to run in and get the camera LOL


Can I just say, its flippin hard to take close up macro photos of flittery butterflies on a windy day :o LOL

Tidy :)

I have had a re-jig and tidy of my craft area and feel much happier now :D
I have put my expression on the table instead of the shelf unit as I never seem to have space to get it out, which then puts me off using it :( Which is a shame as I love it :D

I have just finished two pages of my great great grandparents - I'll take photos tomoz I promise :D
The only think now is I'm not sure who the grandma is as my gg grandad remarried LOL I'm going to add that to the journalling though :D

All I have left then is my dads dad page and the inside and back cover, then I need todecide how to bind it :D
I kinda wanted to include a family tree somehow but it's so big its impossible LOL
been trying to trace my great grandads stepbrother today with absolutely no success :( He seems to vanish at 28!! I am guessing his desendants are the Uncle Billy who had a second hand shop in Ribbleton Lane, Preston and his daughter Jane that my mum remembers but can't find anything on any of them :(

I feel so fed up :(

I had to make another appointment at the dentist tonight becausewhilst eating one of those incredibly hard to eat Magnums (????) my filling came out again :( I'll be on the dentists Christmas card list at this rate :( I did debate sticking it back in with Diamond Glaze LOL

On the nice side, I haved posted the following on my facebook status...

I have had such a giggle at the memories, especially the Merkin conversation LOL ( If your brave and don't know what one is google it, but it is rude LOL)
But also some sweet memories :D like my niece remembers me giving her a decorated hatbox when she hadher daughter, which she used as a memory box :D

and the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down LOL did it not!!!
We postponed and only went on Saturday in the end as Friday was a bit of a washout.
We had to do two runs because we couldn't fit the dog in!!!! LOL it's a good job we are only half an hour away or he was Home Alone..... only kidding :D

Managed the new(ish) tent no probs - in fact it was a doddle,and just got it all set up before it rained:D
Paul returned and we headed off for a little walk...... NEVER AGAIN!!! I thought my heart was going to jump out it was beating so fast LOL when did I get so unfit??? I climb ladders at work nearly every day :o
Saturday evening was nice but was eaten to death by midges, and left the brandy hotchoc a little bit late to start and was scared of waking peeps up with the whistling kettle.... so we had brandy "warm" choc instead :D
Paul had to wake the dog up because he was dreaming, then felt the need to wake me up to let me know it was raining :o what was that about??

Sunday, the heavens opened again, so we left the tent up, took the dog and some stuff home and went back for it when the sun had kindly dried it for us :D

Still happy campers though :D

Phew!!!! thats it for now :D

I've had abit of a splurge getting those pages done as I have had some time off this weekend... Woop woop :D It was meant to be the whole of last week off, then it was going to be from Thursday until the end of nedxt week, but because of work commitments I am back in for 3 days tomorrow :(

BUT we are going camping next weekend :D
We thought about going this weekend but Paul has been on call, good job we didn't as he has been in all weekend!!
I'm making major headway with my ancestry researching!! :o I joined Ancestry.com ( half price deal until tomorrow ;) ) and posted what I was researching, and a lovely lady has found out loads for me. It seems my Great grandad remarried, which I did suspect because my mum keeps mentioning Uncles that just aren't there.
I have given up on the Andertons for now ( my GG Grandma ) as its just too flippin confusing LOL
BUT the Steeles.... mum has told me a story for years how her Great Grandad came from Scotland and was in the Orange Lodge and was disowned by his family for marrying an irish catholic.
I haven't found any eveidence so far however the "e" has a hanit of coming and going on the end, and I learned last night that the "e" signifies recusant families - I had to look this up and it means they were probably catholics ;)
AND the funny part..... the lovely Rosemary dug deep in to Jeremiah ( my GGG grandad) who I couldn't found anddiscovered a definite link to ..... wait for it ........ Cumberland..... not only Cumberland but........ Workington LOL so I have come full circle LOL
At least checking records will be possible now LOL
But how weird is that? we moved here from Preston 38 years ago because my dads job was relocated and my roots are here waiting for me LOL
Most seem to be in St Bees, Gosforth and Haille (?) but even Ennerdale was mentioned... I wonder if thats why I love it so much?

Ok, that was a mega long ramble so going for now LOL
I will put some pooch pics up later that we took at Loweswater on Friday :D
I'm going to tackle my weed ridden pots outside - quite scared because I know they are full of spiders ...... eeeeekkk!!!! LOL
